Kunming World Exposition Garden is built on a mountain slope in a neat order and a magnificent style, with gardening masterpieces from over 95 countries collected here, which fully combines gardening art with science & technology and perfectly represents the theme of “Harmony between Man and Nature”.

Kunming World Exposition is made up5 halls, 7 themed exhibit gardens and 3 outdoor exhibit areas, which are the International Hall, China Hall, Man & Nature, Science & Technology Hall and Great Greenhouse; Silva Garden, Bamboo Garden, Bonsai Garden, Herb Garden, Tea Garden, Fruit & Vegetable Garden and Famed Flower & Rare Stone Garden; International Outdoor Exhibit Area, China Outdoor Exhibit Area and Enterprise Outdoor Exhibit Area. 2,551 species of over 2 million plants are exhibited in the garden, including 112 endangered species.

Lying at the foot of the West Mountain with 5 km from Kunming downtown, Dianchi Lake has long been a sightseeing attraction since the Qing dynasty, into which over 20 rivers such as Panlong River flow. Boasting the 6th largest inland freshwater lake in China, Dianchi Lake is crescent-shaped with 39 km long from south to north and 13.5 km wide from east to west, ranging from 3 m to 8 m in depth.
