This weekend, my colleague and I, climb the highest Mountain in city area, Guilin- Mt Yao, which is located in theeastern suburbs of Guilin, 8 kilometers from downtown area. There are two methods to visit Mt Yao: cable car round way or just on foot.

This morning, we get up very early and start to our climbing. It is always a little bit cold in autumn Guilin. while climbing, the fresh air is oncoming, which makes we feel very relax, comfortable and energetic. On the hillside, you could see the yellow-greentree all over the mountains and plains. Yes, it comes to autumn, and I think it is another kind of beauty. We like it very much since you can not experience the power of nature in the bustling urbanism.

The beautiful of Mt Yao Top of Mt

When we creeping into the Mountain, the visitors, on the top of our head riding the cable car, shout “hello” to us, then we look up and wave our hand to them. Guilin citizens are friendly to any one who visit here.

Cable car Buddha on the top

On the top of Mt Yao, you could see many golden Buddha. They represent rich Buddha culture.

Mt Yao isone of the famous landscape in Guilin’s tourist destinations. It not only has amazing scenery, but also the first class facility and service. I’m sure you will “WOW” about it.

Travel always makes you feel at east. Thank to China Highlights “New hand Training”Plan, I, together with other colleagues, have honor to enjoy the amazing Terraces Field. After 2 hours driving, we get to our destination- Longji Ancient Zhuang Village Terraced Field, which is a village with over 700 years history. Here is more quite and traditional compared with other villages that are over open to tourists. Citizens usually wear white costume with silver decoration, thus, they are also called White Clothes Zhuang. Shuttling back and forth meandering footpath in the village, you always meet kids smiling to you shyly, dogs wagging their tails friendly as well as villagers sitting ahead of house for rest freely. Swallows standing on the electric pole, no need to worry someone will hurt them. A kind of slight flavor spread from the remote pieces of paddy field. At this moment, I skip out from city noisy, just immerse into god-given tranquility and harmony. The Terraces field in Longji Impression Four seasons

Had lunch in a restaurant featured with local taste, we move on our way to a Museum, which is built to cultivate tourists’ sense of culture protection. The museum is the epitome of culture at local, in which show daily supplies, costume, cooker and farming tools in the age of 90s. But what make me impression deeply counts four photography works—Terraces in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. The guide told us, now it is really hard to see such sight again. In order to make a better living, youth labors swarm into cities for working, only elders and children are left, the so-called left-behind family members. Thus, few and few farmers keep farming. On the other hand, annual precipitation is reduced year after year, which turns condition worse. Recent years, government enhances agricultural subsidy policy so that we could still have the chance to view a whole rice field. Unwittingly, we arrive at the top of hill. Here we could have a bird’s-eye view of the panorama. Looking around, rice fields pave the whole mountain and extend to remote area. I haven’t been seen such a large field of rice in green before. Rice paddies are layer upon layer stretching from the foot to the top. I was chocked by the front amazing work that created by the forebears with blood, sweat and wisdom. The ancient Zhuang village, the mainstream culture in local and a symbol of Chinese culture, is not only a local issue, but also an important resource. It contains rich cultural meaning. So every one inboard or outboard visiting here, should bear the same obligation to maintain and protect it. Rice Terracesand quaint Ancient Zhuang Village are highlights in this classic Chinese landscape. Why not tour the rice terraces and village, meet local farming families, and enjoy authentic country-style cooking in the village restaurant.
