Guilin is a very famous city in China, we learnt an article in primary school which mentioned Guilin and Yangshuo, it gave me the first impression about Guilin; and we knew it is a very beautiful place like painting; there is a popular old saying goes like this: East or West, Guilin is the best! And I just knew the scenery of Yangshuo is even better than that in Guilin. Actually I have been to Yangshuo for several times, however, each time I didn't enjoy my self due to short of time.
On this September, two of my friends who grew up with me from childhood said they will come to Guilin from our hometown-Hunan province, as host and I worked in China Highlights, certainly I am in charge of everything of this trip. Finally, I have enough time to appreciate the beauty of Yangshuo.
I believe West street is an ideal place for girls, because we could find all kinds of things here, it was our first stop, we took about 3 hours in this street where just 500 meters, I even heard some of our clients spent a whole day there since there are many bars owned by foreigners, the atmosphere is really great, actually we love a bread house very much, lol.
After we checked in a hotel, we headed to take bamboo rafting, this is a programmer we very expecting, some people told that it is the best way to appreciate the scenery of Li River; and this saying was proved after we experienced; we just like took a bamboo rafting in a painting, the scenery of the river bank is gorgeous!
After 1 hour on the bamboo rafting, we boarded on the land, where we could put on traditional cloth to take photos, my friends tried this, and they are really beautiful, is it right?
On the second day in Yangshuo, we took another exciting activity-Bicycle. This is a very popular programmer in Yangshuo, just CNY30 for the whole day rental; Yangshuo is a small town, everywhere are paintings; we rented 3 bicycles and started to explore the beauty of Yangshuo by our own feet, it is really a fantastic experience I never had, you should not miss it if you go to Yangshuo.
It was a nice weekend, actually Yangshuo is not far away from Guilin city, just 2 hours drive, I will back to Yangshuo once I have time.
