1. Five Stone Goat Sculpture
As one of the best-known symbol of Guangzhou, the 11-meters high Five Stone Goat Sculpture, built in 1959, is east of Yuexiu Park, which is piled up by over 130 pieces of granite carving stones.
2. Canton Tower
Covering an area of 114,054 square meters, the 600-meter high Canton Tower is the tallest one of its kind in China with its body of 450 meters high and its aerial mast of 150 meters high, moreover, a vast Ferris wheel is placed on the 454-meter high point of the tower, which offers visitors a panoramic view of Guangzhou.
3. Zhenhai Tower
As a key cultural relic unit under Guangdong Provincial Government’s Protection, Zhenhai Tower perches on Panlong Hill, a branch of Yuexiu Mountain, which is also called as “Watching Ocean Tower” and “Five-Story Tower”, and it functions as Guangzhou Museum now.
4. Guangzhou Zhongxin Square
Guangzhou Zhongxin Square is located at New Central City, Tianhe District, neighboring Guangzhou East Railway Station, which holds an 80-storyed Zhongxin Mansion and two 38-storyed affiliated buildings, with its basement functioning as a commercial center.
5. Twin Towers in Pearl River New City
Known to the world as Guangzhou International Financial Center, the 443.75-meter tall West Tower boasts 103 floors with 448,000 square meters, which is composed of an office building, an annexed building and the main tower. The east tower is 530 meters tall, boasting the tallest building in South China.
6. Guangzhou International Conference and Exhibition Center
China Export and Import Commodity Trading Fair (or Canton Fair) is held twice (in spring and autumn respectively) a year in Guangzhou International Conference and Exhibition Center, attracting visitors from all over the world carrying various kinds of commodities to for trading during the fairs.
7. Guangdong Olympic Center
Functioning as one of the three main venues during 2012 Guangzhou Asian Game, Guangdong Olympic Center boasts 21 colorful grandstands, forming a kapok-shaped “flower” together, and it boasts the most beautiful gymnasium in Guangzhou.
