Guangzhou Travel in One Day

As one of the windows for showcasing achievement after China’s opening up and reforming policy, Guangzhou is famous all over the world not only for its amazing natural scenery and profound cultural relics, but it’s celebrated for its skyscrapers all around, where a number of wonderful attractions are available for me to choose, however, I just prefer to visit White Cloud Mountain and Canton Tower during my Guangzhou travel.

Departing from hotel in the morning, I drive for Guangzhou White Cloud Mountain directly, which stands northeast of Guangzhou, boasting the most impressive one among “Top 8 Attractions of Guangzhou” and titled a “National AAAA-Level Scenic Area”.

Covering an area of 20.98 square kilometers and composed of over 30 peaks, the White Cloud Mountain has a rather wide range with peaks rising one after another, whose highest peak, Touching Star Peak, is 382 meters high above the sea level, and the crystal-clear streams runs happily at the foot of peaks. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can overlook the fine views of Guangzhou, which offers you a fantastic view of Pearl River in the distance as well and where you can appreciate white clouds wreathed the peaks once in a while.

After lunch, I drive leisurely for Canton Tower with great satisfaction, which is commonly referred to as “Waistline” with 600 meters high above ground and 125 meters away from south bank of Pearl River, and it’s actually the tallest tower in China for the purpose of sightseeing, radio & TV transmission, culture & entertainment and exhibition. Moreover, Canton Tower once provided TV transmission service for the 16th Asian Games held in Guangzhou

After visiting Canton Tower, I continue my way to visit Flower City Square, which is notable as “Guangzhou City Parlor”, spanning from Xianxing Road in the east to Huaxia Road in the west and stretching from Huangpu Road in the north to Haixinsha in the south, and over 600 old trees are planted and well-protected here.
In the evening, I take a cruise boat along the Pearl River, which runs across many magnificent bridges decorated with colored lights, and the light scene along river banks is really amazing, so you should not miss a night cruise along the Pearl River during your Guangzhou travel.
