Four Functions of Canton Tower

1. Sightseeing Functions
Standing on the top of Canton Tower offers you a panoramic view of Guangzhou: New City Central Area, P.E. Central Area, Guangzhou East Railway Station Area, Themed Culture Sightseeing Area, Orchard Protection Area and Riverside Symbolic Landscape Area. At the bottom of Canton Tower, a series of supporting tourist service facilities are available, fully exhibiting the history, culture, economy and attractions of Guangzhou in a vivid and visual way.

2. Transmission Functions
Surrounded by Guangzhou Broadcast & TV Transmission Center, Chigaungta Park and a recreational square, Canton Tower actually functions as a transmission tower, on the top of which the transmitter room and the transmitting aerial are placed for receiving and sending signals.

3. Exhibition Functions
A large-scale Urban Planning Hall is to be built inside the tower for showcasing urban-planning models and construction achievements during the development of Guangzhou, covering an area of over 5,000 square meters, from which visitors can know what Guangzhou will be like in the next 50 years. Besides, a number of sightseeing platforms are available on some floors of the tower, offering visitors fine views of the city.

4. Entertaining Functions
In addition to the ever-built Ferris wheel and prompt-drop chair, a “Spiderman Plank Road” has been set up from the 33rd floor to the 62nd floor for entertaining in Canton Tower, which has a length of 166.4 meters, and it usually takes visitors 40 minutes to finish the journey, 25 minutes the soonest, attracting visitors from all over the world to participate every day.
